Welcome to the website of our school Maharashtra High school and Junior College, Kolhapur.
I am greatly honoured to be the Principal of this renowned, multipurpose school imparting academic, technical, vocational, agriculture and computer education very effectively for the all-round development of our students.
This school started on 13th June 1960 with only 59 students and today the total enrollment is more than 3000 students getting education from 5th to 12th standard.
I am very pleased to say that our Sanstha has invested a lot of money for providing physical and academic facilities to our school from its inception. We can never forget the greatest contribution towards all-round development of our school of Hon.D.B.Patil who had been the Principal of our school for nearly 29 years since 1964.
He dedicated himself completely to the welfare of students day in and day out. He launched various innovative schemes for the benefit of students. As a result, our students achieved bright success in the SSC and HSC examinations. In addition, a number of football, handball and basketball players played for national team.
Our football team bagged the state championship for more than 43 times. It is said that our school is the ‘mother of football players’. In other sports activities such as swimming, chess, wrestling etc.our students have brought laurels.
The school is progressing wonderfully under the guidance of our Chairman Hon.D.B.Patil and the member of the management committee.
